About Us

The Wine Traveler

The goal of The Wine Traveler is to provide a convenient single-source of information and advice about travel in the major wine regions of the world written by people who live or travel extensively there and have insider knowledge of the best wineries to visit, lodging, dining and things to see and do during your stay.

Rather than provide an overload of information, our editors select the facilities and sights that they feel are the best values and provide them in an easy-to-use format: the region, how to get there, when to visit, the towns, the wines, the wineries, places to dine, places to stay, and special things to see and do. You won’t find information on every winery, hotel, and restaurant in the area, but rather the ones our resident experts say are the best or best value – ones that they would recommend to friends who are coming to visit, including their choice of the best of the best. You’ll find phone and fax numbers, and web and e-mail addresses for the establishments listed to make it easy for you to get more information or book reservations.
